A Furry Escape

Hammy the beloved hamster of class 4, Salt Edge Primary broke out of his cage and ran away. Poor Hammy was forgotten in the holiday rush. And at only 9 months.

May 15^th , Salt Edge broke up for half term leaving Hammy alone to fend for himself. The child who was meant to take me home and care for him got caught up in the rush to get out of school. He had low food and water supply . Allegedly his cage was shut and tightly locked, however if this was the case how did this little furry animal manage to escape. Did he flee from lack of resources or did he just run whilst he had the chance?

We interviewed class 4 teacher Patsy Jones and claimed that she “securely” shut the cage door the previous Friday. We then spoke Mr Smith the caretaker spotted the open cage 3 days after the children broke up. He said “First I knew was when, I spotted the cage door was ajar.” Each blaming the other we interview one some of the children. The majority said “I really miss Hammy and I hope we find him soon,” where as few thought “he was a horrible rat.”

We also interviewed some professionals to find out their point of views on this story. Vet Pritesh Khan explained that “hamsters are nervous creatures and cant blame him for taking the chance to escape. Schools should not be allowed to keep animals.” Where as child physiologist Sam Pepper believes that “keeping a pet enables children to learn responsibility and how to care for living creatures other than there selves.”

So we have many different options on this story, but one thing we all agree on is that we need to find hammy before he get hurt in any way. This Means War-Review

This means war is a 2012 romantic comedy spy film directed by McG. The film stars Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, and Tom Hardy who are stuck in a rather unusual love triangle. In which two CIA agents who are best friends find out that they are dating the same woman. I expected this film to be very funny and have me in stitches in parts, whilst also including some great scenes of romance. It beat my expectations completely.

 The plot is that CIA agents and best friends FDR Foster (Chris Pine) and Tuck Hansen (Tom Hardy) are sent to Hong Kong to prevent criminal Karl Heinrich (Til Schweiger) from getting his hands on a weapon of mass destruction. But the mission goes wrong, resulting in the death of Heinrich's brother, Jonas, so Heinrich swears vengeance (revenge) on them. When returning to America, their boss, Collins (Angela Bassett), assigns them to desk duty for their protection, so they don’t die. Then on a night out they both meet the Lauren (Reese Witherspoon) and fall madly in love with her. Once they find out they both like her they get people to help them mess with each others dates, so they can get the girl. They also spy on her to see what she likes and dislikes and even look through her personal flies to gain valuable information. Who will win womanizer FDR or charmer Tuck? The plot is very believable, makes sense and is easy enough to follow it.

Actor Chris Pine plays FDR the womanizer, who’s cover is a cruise ship captain. FDR’s character is very cocky; obsessed with him self and thinks he’s better than everyone. Whereas Tuck, played by Tom Hardy is a divorced single farther who also falls in love with Laure; Tuck’s character is very charming, romantic and puts others before him self. Lauren Scott played by Reese Witherspoon is a product testing executive and the love of FDR and Tuck; her character is beautiful, thoughtful and sneaky (going out with two people at the same time). I think all the actors were well suited to their parts.

There were no special effects but don’t let that put you off the film. I love the camera work because there are not any dark scenes were you can not make out what is happening. The camera is used is basic ways nothing special, but it is a brilliant, must see film.

I really enjoyed the film and found it side-splitting (hilarious) because of all the things the spy’s did to ruin each others dates. Its good points were that in the end both agents got a girl and they defeated the criminal. But I didn’t agree with who got the girl (Lauren), that’s my only bad point, so apart from that I think the film was phenomenal. I especially loved the scene where Tuck and Lauren where on a date, the room was light with lots of candles. They were about to kiss when all of a sudden, it started lashing down with water, so all the candles went off and Lauren and Tuck got drenched.

I would recommend this film to lovers of comedy and romance because it had me laughing through out the film and there were some wonderful loves scenes that showed magical moments between certain characters. This film reminds me slightly of the “Men in Black” because there are spies in it, but other than that I would class this film as one of a kind. Definitely one to watch.
